Rental cars are also a popular choice for those who wish to explore the surrounding areas at their own pace. There is no tram or subway/metro system in Tomamu.
Airport
The closest major airport to Tomamu is New Chitose Airport (CTS) in Chitose, which is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours away by train. From New Chitose Airport, you can take the JR Limited Express train directly to Tomamu Station. Alternatively, you can rent a car at the airport and drive to Tomamu. Some resorts also offer shuttle bus services from the airport, but these usually require advance booking.
