Airport
The main airport serving the Caprivi Strip is Katima Mulilo Airport (MPA), located approximately 18 kilometers (11 miles) from the town of Katima Mulilo. Transportation from the airport to Katima Mulilo and surrounding lodges is typically arranged through pre-booked transfers with your accommodation or tour operator. Taxis may be available, but it's best to arrange transportation in advance. Car rental services are also available at the airport.

5 minutes drive from Kongola While not a specific "destination" in itself, the area around Lianshulu Lodge (near Kongola) offers a variety of activities and experiences. 15-30 minutes drive from Kongola Despite the name, Popa Falls are more like rapids than dramatic waterfalls. However, they are a scenic spot on the Okavango River and a good place to stop for a picnic or a short walk. The area is also known for its birdlife and the opportunity to spot crocodiles and hippos in the river (from a safe distance, of course!).
Approximately 2 hours drive from Kongola Nkasa Rupara National Park, also known as Mamili National Park, is Namibia's largest wetland area with conservation status. This park is a haven for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts, especially during the rainy season when the floodplains attract a huge variety of species. Expect to see elephants, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and a wealth of birdlife. The park's unique ecosystem makes it a truly special place to visit.
