Transportation

Airport
The closest airport to Souda is Chania International Airport "Ioannis Daskalogiannis" (CHQ), located approximately 14 kilometers (8.7 miles) northeast of Souda. Transportation from the airport to Souda is readily available by taxi or bus. KTEL buses run regularly from the airport to Chania, where you can then transfer to a bus to Souda. Taxis are available outside the airport terminal and offer a more direct, but also more expensive, option.

Souda Beach, near Plakias, is a quieter alternative to the main beach. It features fine pebbles and clear, calm waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
