Reaching Carreg Cennen Castle is best done by car, as public transportation options are limited. From Llandeilo, follow the A483 towards Llandovery, then take the B4520 towards Trap. The castle is well signposted from Trap. Parking is available at the castle entrance. While there are some local bus routes that serve the area, they may not run frequently, so it's best to check timetables in advance. Consider bus number 280 from Ammanford to Llandeilo, then taxi to the castle.
