Transportation

From Hanoi, you can take a bus or train to Ninh Binh city. Buses are more frequent and depart from various bus stations in Hanoi, such as Giap Bat or Nuoc Ngam. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours. From Ninh Binh city, you can hire a taxi or motorbike taxi (xe om) to Tam Coc, which is about 7 kilometers away. Alternatively, some hotels and tour operators offer shuttle services directly from Hanoi to Tam Coc.
