Reach for the Sky: A Panoramic View from the Tashkent TV Tower Guide

The Tashkent TV Tower is a towering landmark that dominates the city's skyline. Standing at 375 meters (1,230 feet) tall, it's one of the tallest structures in Central Asia. A visit to the tower offers breathtaking panoramic views of Tashkent and the surrounding landscape, making it a popular attraction for tourists and locals alike. Construction of the Tashkent TV Tower began in 1978 and was completed in 1985. It was designed by the architects N.G. Terziev-Tsarukov and engineers E.P. Morozov and M.D. Musheyev. The tower serves as a vital communication hub, broadcasting television and radio signals throughout the region. Its unique design, featuring a slender concrete shaft and a distinctive antenna structure, has made it an iconic symbol of Tashkent. Visitors can ascend to the observation deck, located at a height of 94 meters (308 feet), via high-speed elevators. From there, you can enjoy stunning 360-degree views of the city, including landmarks such as Independence Square, the Amir Timur Museum, and the Chorsu Bazaar. The tower also houses a revolving restaurant, where you can dine while enjoying the ever-changing scenery. While the restaurant offers international cuisine, you can find many restaurants nearby serving traditional Uzbek dishes.
