Transportation
From Boulder, take CO-119 N/Canyon Blvd towards Nederland. Continue on CO-119 N to Ward. From Ward, follow signs for the Brainard Lake Recreation Area. Mitchell Lake is located within the recreation area. A fee is required to enter the recreation area. Parking is available at the Mitchell Lake Trailhead.
