Transportation

The Tellico River is located near Tellico Plains, Tennessee, within the Cherokee National Forest. Access to the river is primarily by car. From Tellico Plains, follow TN-165 (Cherohala Skyway) towards the Cherokee National Forest. Several access points and parking areas are available along the river. Be aware that some roads may be unpaved and require a vehicle with higher clearance. There is no public transportation available to the Tellico River.
