Observation Point in Zion National Park offers arguably the most panoramic and awe-inspiring views in the entire park. This trail provides a unique perspective of Zion's backcountry and a chance to escape the crowds. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities at Observation Point, primarily focused on soaking in the incredible scenery and capturing memorable photographs. The expansive views are perfect for landscape photography, and the sheer drop-offs offer thrilling perspectives (exercise caution!). Transportation
Due to the closure of the East Mesa Trail from Weeping Rock, access to Observation Point is primarily via the East Mesa Trailhead. This trailhead is located outside the park, accessible by car. From Zion's east entrance, drive east on Utah State Route 9. Turn north onto North Fork Road (also known as Chamberlain Ranch Road), a dirt road. Follow this road for approximately 6 miles to the East Mesa Trailhead. A high-clearance vehicle is recommended, especially after rain. Check current road conditions before heading out.
