Transportation

Molas Pass is best accessed by car. It's located on U.S. Highway 550, part of the Million Dollar Highway. From Silverton, head south on Highway 550. From Durango, head north on Highway 550. Be aware that the Million Dollar Highway can be challenging to drive, especially in winter, due to steep grades, hairpin turns, and potential for snow and ice. Check road conditions before you go. There is no public transportation directly to Molas Pass.
