Welcome to Grant's Farm, a beloved St. Louis institution offering a delightful blend of history, animal encounters, and, yes, even beer! This sprawling 281-acre ancestral home of the Busch family (of Anheuser-Busch fame) is more than just a farm; it's an immersive experience that appeals to visitors of all ages. Prepare to be charmed by Clydesdale horses, exotic animals, and the rich history woven into the very fabric of this unique destination. The land that is now Grant's Farm has a rich history dating back to the mid-19th century. It was once owned by Ulysses S. Grant, the 18th President of the United States, hence the name. August A. Busch Sr. purchased a portion of the land in 1903 and established it as a haven for his beloved Clydesdale horses. Over the years, the farm has evolved into a multifaceted attraction, showcasing not only the iconic horses but also a diverse collection of animals from around the world. The Busch family's legacy is palpable throughout the property, adding a layer of historical significance to your visit. Grant's Farm offers a plethora of activities to keep you entertained. Hop on the tram for a scenic tour of the Deer Park, where you'll spot bison, elk, and various deer species roaming freely. Visit the Bauernhof, a charming German-style farmyard, where you can interact with goats, sheep, and other farm animals. Of course, no trip to Grant's Farm is complete without seeing the Budweiser Clydesdales in their stables. And for those of legal drinking age, enjoy complimentary Anheuser-Busch products at the Biergarten. While there isn't a specific culinary tradition tied to Grant's Farm, the Biergarten offers classic American fare to complement your beverage.
