Transportation
While there is no public transportation directly into the park, several tour companies offer transportation from Rapid City. Driving is the most common way to access the park. From Rapid City, take I-90 East to Wall, South Dakota, and then follow Highway 240 (the Badlands Loop Road) into the park. Alternatively, you can continue on I-90 East to Cactus Flat and enter the park from the east entrance.
Opening Hours
The park is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year-round. However, visitor centers have specific hours that vary by season.
