Transportation
Access to Verde Hot Springs requires a drive on a dirt road and a hike. From Payson, take Highway 87 north to the Control Road turnoff. Follow Control Road to FR708 (Fossil Creek Road). Continue on FR708 to the Verde River. High-clearance vehicles are recommended. The hike to the springs is approximately 1 mile. Be sure to check road conditions before you go, as FR708 can be impassable after heavy rains or snow.
