Transportation
Due to its remote location, the most convenient way to reach Minnewaska State Park Preserve is by car. From New Paltz, take Route 299 west to Route 44/55 west. Follow Route 44/55 to the park entrance. Parking is available at various locations within the park, but can fill up quickly, especially on weekends and holidays. Consider arriving early or visiting during off-peak hours. There are no direct public transportation options to the park entrance.
