Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) Guide
Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM): Art with a View Guide
Immerse yourself in contemporary and modern art at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), a stunning architectural masterpiece located on Biscayne Bay. PAMM is more than just a museum; it's a cultural hub that showcases international art from the 20th and 21st centuries, with a focus on the Americas, Africa, and the Caribbean. With its breathtaking views and thought-provoking exhibitions, PAMM offers a unique and enriching experience for art lovers of all levels. PAMM's history began in 1996 as the Miami Art Museum. In 2013, it moved to its current waterfront location and was renamed in honor of Jorge M. Pérez, a prominent Miami businessman and art collector. The museum's building, designed by renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron, is a work of art in itself, featuring hanging gardens and expansive terraces that blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. At PAMM, you can explore a diverse collection of paintings, sculptures, photographs, and installations. The museum hosts rotating exhibitions that showcase both established and emerging artists. Take a guided tour to learn more about the artwork, or simply wander through the galleries at your own pace. PAMM also offers educational programs, workshops, and family activities. The museum's Verde restaurant offers delicious meals with stunning bay views, featuring a menu inspired by local and seasonal ingredients. While not a traditional culinary experience, it's a modern take on Miami flavors.
