Leigh served as the Governor of Virginia and used Morven Park as his official residence. He was a passionate equestrian and established the Morven Park International Equestrian Institute, which continues to train riders and horses to this day. The estate also served as a training ground for the U.S. Cavalry during World War II. At Morven Park, visitors can tour the historic mansion, which is filled with period furnishings and artifacts. The formal gardens are a delight to explore, with their manicured lawns, colorful flowerbeds, and tranquil fountains. The park also hosts a variety of equestrian events throughout the year, including polo matches, horse shows, and dressage competitions.
