Transportation
The Mickelson Trail has multiple access points along its length. For access near Lead, you can park at the trailhead in the town. Driving from Lead, take US-85 S/US-14 W. Turn right onto Fairview Rd. The trailhead will be on your right. Other trailheads are located in nearby towns like Deadwood, Rochford, and Hill City.
