Sinks Canyon State Park is a natural wonder located just outside of Lander, Wyoming. This stunning park is named for the unique geological feature where the Popo Agie River disappears into a limestone cave ("the Sinks") and reappears a quarter mile downstream in a large pool ("the Rise"). Transportation
From Lander, take Highway 131 (Sinks Canyon Road) southwest. The park entrance is approximately 6 miles from Lander. The Wind River Transportation Authority (WRTA) provides limited bus service to Sinks Canyon during peak season. Check their website for schedules and availability.
