The Jekyll Island Golf Club is more than just a place to play; it's an experience. The history of golf on Jekyll Island dates back to the late 19th century when the island was a private retreat for America's elite. The first course was built in 1898, and since then, the island has become a renowned golfing destination. Each course has its own character, from the challenging greens of the Indian Mound course to the scenic ocean views of the Ocean Forest course. The courses are meticulously maintained and offer a variety of tee boxes to accommodate players of all abilities. Beyond the golf itself, the Jekyll Island Golf Club offers a range of amenities, including a pro shop, driving range, and practice greens. Take a lesson from a PGA professional to improve your game, or simply relax and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow golfers. After your round, unwind at the clubhouse restaurant and bar, where you can savor delicious food and drinks while overlooking the lush fairways.
