Transportation
Access to Bristol Head is primarily via forest service roads. From Creede, take Colorado Highway 149 south. Turn onto Forest Road 504 (also known as the Pool Table Road). Follow Forest Road 504 for several miles. The trailhead for Bristol Head will be located along this road. The road is generally accessible by most vehicles, but high clearance may be helpful in some sections. Check road conditions before heading out, especially during the spring and fall when snow and mud can be present.
