Transportation
Independence Square has its own metro station, Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Майдан Незалежності), served by the Obolonsko-Teremkivska Line (Blue Line). Khreshchatyk (Хрещатик) station on the Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska Line (Red Line) also provides access to the square. Numerous buses also stop near the square, including bus numbers 24, 62, 114.
