Transportation
The easiest way to reach Formby Beach is by train to Formby station, followed by a pleasant walk of approximately 1.5 miles (2.4 km) through the village and woodlands to the beach. Alternatively, bus route 47 runs from Southport to Formby village. From Formby village, follow the signs to the beach (approximately 1.5 miles walk).
