Transportation
The easiest way to reach Hackfall Woods is by car. There is a car park available on site. From Ripon, take the B6265 towards Masham. After approximately 4 miles, turn left onto a minor road signposted for Grewelthorpe. Follow this road for about a mile, and the entrance to Hackfall Woods will be on your left. Limited bus service is available to Grewelthorpe, from which you can walk to Hackfall Woods, but check local timetables for availability.
