The Botanic Garden is located a short distance from Durham city centre. You can reach it by bus from Durham Bus Station. Take the number 5 or 5A bus towards Shincliffe and alight at the Botanic Garden stop. Alternatively, it's a pleasant walk of approximately 30 minutes from the city centre, following signs for Shincliffe.
