The architect, Edward Haycock, designed the harbour and the surrounding town in a distinctive Regency style, characterized by the colourful facades that are so iconic today. The harbour quickly became a thriving center for shipbuilding and maritime trade, contributing significantly to the local economy. Today, Aberaeron Harbour offers a variety of activities for visitors. Transportation
The T5 bus route from Aberystwyth to Cardigan stops in Aberaeron. From the bus stop, the harbour is a short walk.
