Transportation
From Taipei, you can take a direct bus to Sun Moon Lake from Taipei Main Station or Taipei City Hall Bus Station. Kuo-Kuang Motor Transport (國光客運) and Nantou Bus (南投客運) operate these routes. From Taichung, you can take the Nantou Bus (南投客運) to Sun Moon Lake from Taichung HSR Station or Taichung Train Station.
