Zhaori Hot Spring Guide
Zhaori Hot Spring: Where the Sun Meets the Sea Guide
Imagine soaking in warm, mineral-rich waters as the sun rises over the vast Pacific Ocean. That's the magic of Zhaori Hot Spring, also known as Chaojih Hot Spring, a rare saltwater hot spring located on the southeastern coast of Green Island. It's one of only three saltwater hot springs in the world, offering a truly unique and unforgettable bathing experience. Forget your typical spa day; this is nature's own jacuzzi, complete with breathtaking views. The geological formation of Zhaori Hot Spring is fascinating. Seawater seeps through the volcanic rock of Green Island, is heated by geothermal activity, and then emerges as a warm, mineral-rich spring. The spring's water contains minerals like sulfur and potassium, believed to have therapeutic benefits for the skin and muscles. The pools are carefully managed, with varying temperatures to suit different preferences. Beyond the therapeutic waters, Zhaori Hot Spring offers a range of activities. Of course, soaking in the various pools is the main draw, but you can also explore the surrounding coastal area. Take a walk along the rocky shoreline, breathe in the fresh sea air, and marvel at the unique rock formations. For a truly special experience, arrive before dawn to witness the sunrise while immersed in the warm waters. Don't forget to try the hot spring eggs, cooked in the geothermal waters, a local delicacy!
