Dulan Sugar Factory: A Sweet Blend of History, Art, and Culture Guide

Explore the repurposed factory buildings, now home to art galleries, studios, workshops, and cafes. Discover the unique blend of industrial heritage and contemporary art that makes this park a must-visit destination in Dulan. The Dulan Sugar Factory was established during the Japanese colonial period and played a significant role in the local economy for many years. After the sugar industry declined, the factory was abandoned. However, in recent years, it has been revitalized as a cultural park, preserving its historical architecture while providing a space for artists and creative entrepreneurs to showcase their work. The park serves as a testament to Dulan's commitment to preserving its past while embracing the future. At the Dulan Sugar Factory Cultural Park, you can wander through the various art galleries and studios, admiring the diverse range of artwork on display. Participate in a workshop to learn a new skill, such as pottery or traditional weaving. Enjoy a cup of coffee or a delicious meal at one of the cafes or restaurants within the park. The park also hosts regular events, such as live music performances and art festivals. While you're there, be sure to try some of the local snacks and treats available at the park's food stalls, such as the sugar cane juice or the traditional Taiwanese desserts.
