Pasikudah Beach, located near Batticaloa on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka, is renowned for its exceptionally shallow and calm waters, making it an ideal destination for families and those seeking a relaxing beach vacation. The name "Pasikudah" translates to "green algae bay," referring to the seaweed that was once abundant in the area. Today, it's celebrated for its pristine golden sands, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and gentle waves. Pasikudah's history is intertwined with the Sri Lankan civil war, which significantly impacted tourism in the region for many years. However, since the end of the conflict, Pasikudah has experienced a resurgence, with new resorts and infrastructure being developed to cater to the growing number of visitors. The beach has been recognized as one of the safest and most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka, attracting both local and international tourists.
