Transportation
You can reach the Castro Fortress by bus or by walking. Bus lines 4, 5A, 5B, 9A, 9B, 12B, 15C, 17, and 23 all have stops near the base of the hill. From there, it's a steep but rewarding walk up to the fortress. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or drive, although parking at the top can be limited.
