You can reach the base of Mount Benacantil by walking from the city center. For access to Santa Bárbara Castle, an elevator is available from Calle Jovellanos, near Postiguet Beach. Bus lines 02, 05, 08, 10, 12, 13, 14, 21, 22, and 23 also have stops near the base of the mountain.
