Jeongbang Waterfall: Asia's Only Waterfall Flowing Directly into the Ocean Guide

Prepare to be mesmerized by the unique beauty of Jeongbang Waterfall, one of Jeju Island's most iconic natural wonders. Unlike most waterfalls that cascade into rivers or lakes, Jeongbang Waterfall plunges directly into the ocean, creating a dramatic and unforgettable spectacle. The roar of the water, the salty spray, and the stunning coastal scenery combine to create a truly immersive experience. Jeongbang Waterfall has been a popular attraction for centuries, drawing visitors with its unique location and scenic beauty. Legend has it that a mythical dragon once lived beneath the waterfall, adding to its mystique. The waterfall is fed by a stream that originates on Mount Hallasan, ensuring a constant flow of water throughout the year. The surrounding cliffs are adorned with lush vegetation, creating a picturesque backdrop for the cascading water. The main activity at Jeongbang Waterfall is simply admiring its beauty and taking photos. Descend the steps carved into the cliffside to reach the base of the waterfall, where you can feel the cool spray on your face. Be prepared for slippery rocks and uneven terrain. Local vendors near the entrance sell fresh seafood and snacks, offering a taste of Jeju's coastal cuisine. Try the grilled abalone or the sea urchin for a truly authentic experience.
