Transportation
The Swartberg Pass (R328) is the primary route through the Swartberg Mountains. It is accessible by car, although a high-clearance vehicle is recommended, especially after rain. The pass can be accessed from Oudtshoorn on the southern side and Prince Albert on the northern side. From Uniondale, take the N12 towards Oudtshoorn and then the R328 to the Swartberg Pass. There is no public transportation directly through the pass.
