Transportation

Reaching Satara Rest Camp requires driving. The camp is located approximately 350km (217 miles) from Johannesburg. The most common route is via the N4 highway to Nelspruit, then the R40 to Hazyview, and finally the R536 to the Paul Kruger Gate. From the Paul Kruger Gate, follow the H1-2 road north to Satara. Alternatively, you can fly into Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) near Nelspruit and rent a car from there. Be aware that driving within Kruger National Park is subject to speed limits and park regulations.
