Jukani: Encounter Rescued Big Cats and Wildlife Guide
Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary, situated near Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route, is a haven for rescued big cats and other wildlife. This sanctuary provides a safe and enriching environment for animals that have been saved from captive breeding programs, circuses, and other exploitative situations. It's an opportunity to see these magnificent creatures up close and learn about the importance of wildlife conservation. Jukani's mission is to provide a permanent home for animals that cannot be released back into the wild. The animals are cared for by a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about their well-being. Visitors can embark on guided tours led by experienced guides who share fascinating information about the animals' individual stories, their species, and the challenges they face in the wild. You'll have the chance to see lions, tigers, jaguars, leopards, and other predators, as well as a variety of other wildlife species.
