Transportation
The Swartberg Pass is best accessed by car. From Oudtshoorn, take the R328 north towards Prince Albert. The pass begins approximately 25km north of Oudtshoorn. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for gravel roads, and drive cautiously, especially during wet conditions. 4x4 vehicles are not required but recommended. There are no public transportation options directly to or through the pass.
