Transportation
The most common way to reach Mapungubwe National Park is by car. The park is located approximately 70km west of Musina in the Limpopo Province. You can fly into Polokwane (PTG) and then rent a car for the approximately 4-hour drive to the park. Alternatively, you can drive from Johannesburg, which is about a 6-7 hour journey. The roads leading to the park are generally well-maintained, but it's always a good idea to check road conditions before you travel. Consider renting a 4x4 vehicle if you plan on exploring some of the more remote areas of the park.
