Transportation
Reaching Sandwood Bay requires a bit of effort, adding to its secluded charm. The nearest car park is at Blairmore, about 4 miles from the beach. From Scourie, take the A838 north towards Durness. After approximately 5 miles, turn left onto the single-track road signposted for Blairmore. Follow this road to the car park. From the car park, a well-marked path leads to Sandwood Bay. Be prepared for a 4-mile walk each way across moorland, so wear appropriate footwear and clothing.
