Transportation
Praia dos Moinhos is best reached by car. From Ponta Delgada, take the EN1-1A towards Ribeira Grande, then follow signs to Maia. From Maia, follow the signs to Praia dos Moinhos. There is a parking area near the beach. Public transportation options are limited, but buses do run to Maia from Ribeira Grande. From Maia, it's a steep walk down to the beach.
