Lio Beach Guide
Lio Beach: El Nido's Accessible Slice of Paradise Guide
Welcome to Lio Beach, a beautifully developed and easily accessible beach just a short distance from El Nido Airport. This pristine stretch of white sand offers a more upscale and convenient beach experience compared to some of the more remote locations. With its calm turquoise waters, lined with palm trees and a variety of restaurants and shops, Lio Beach is perfect for families, couples, and anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable beach getaway. Lio Beach is a relatively new development, designed to provide a sustainable and eco-friendly tourism experience. While it doesn't have a long history like some other sites in the Philippines, its significance lies in its commitment to responsible tourism practices. The developers have taken great care to minimize the environmental impact of the resort and to support the local community. Lio Beach offers a wide range of activities to suit all tastes. You can swim, sunbathe, kayak, paddleboard, or simply relax on the beach with a good book. Several tour operators offer island hopping tours that depart directly from Lio Beach, making it a convenient base for exploring the Bacuit Bay. The beach is also home to a variety of restaurants and bars, offering a diverse culinary experience. From fresh seafood to international cuisine, you'll find something to satisfy your cravings. Don't miss the opportunity to try some local Filipino dishes, such as adobo or sinigang, at one of the beachfront restaurants.
Transportation
Lio Beach is incredibly easy to reach. It's located just a few minutes from El Nido Airport (ENI). Many resorts offer free shuttle services to and from the airport. Alternatively, you can take a tricycle from El Nido town, which takes about 15-20 minutes. Tricycles are readily available and affordable. You can also rent a motorbike and drive yourself, but be aware of the traffic and road conditions.
