Maquinit Hot Spring Guide
Relax and Rejuvenate: Soak in the Maquinit Hot Spring Guide
Escape the tropical heat and unwind at Maquinit Hot Spring, one of the few saltwater hot springs in the world. Nestled amidst lush mangroves and rocky landscapes, this natural wonder offers a unique and therapeutic experience. The warm, mineral-rich waters are perfect for soothing tired muscles and relieving stress after a day of exploring Coron's stunning attractions. Unlike volcanic hot springs, Maquinit is heated geothermally. Seawater seeps into the ground, is heated by the earth's core, and then rises to the surface. The water temperature can reach up to 40°C (104°F), providing a relaxing and invigorating soak. The spring has been developed with stone pools and pathways, creating a comfortable and accessible environment for visitors. The primary activity at Maquinit Hot Spring is, of course, soaking in the warm waters. Many visitors come in the late afternoon or evening to enjoy the sunset over the bay while relaxing in the pools. The spring is also a great place to socialize and meet other travelers. Remember to bring your swimwear, a towel, and plenty of water to stay hydrated.
