The BenCab Museum, nestled in the lush hills of Tuba, Benguet (near Baguio City), is a haven for art enthusiasts and cultural explorers. Founded by National Artist Benedicto Cabrera (BenCab), the museum showcases his extensive collection of Philippine contemporary art, indigenous artifacts, and tribal art from around the world. It's a place where art, nature, and culture converge, offering a unique and enriching experience for visitors of all ages. The museum was established in 2009 with the aim of preserving and promoting Philippine art and culture. BenCab, a renowned painter and printmaker, envisioned a space where artists could showcase their work and where the public could learn about the rich artistic heritage of the Philippines. The museum's collection includes BenCab's own masterpieces, as well as works by other prominent Filipino artists. It also features a Bulol collection, showcasing indigenous sculptures from the Cordillera region. At the BenCab Museum, you can explore the various galleries showcasing different art forms and cultural artifacts. Transportation
Take a jeepney from Baguio City Public Market bound for Asin Road. Ask the driver to drop you off at the BenCab Museum. The jeepney ride takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Alternatively, you can hire a taxi, but it will be more expensive.
