Transportation
To reach Sandoval Lake, you'll first need to travel to Puerto Maldonado. You can fly from Cusco or Lima to Puerto Maldonado. From there, it's a hike of approximately 3 kilometers to reach Sandoval Lake. Most lodges arrange transportation from Puerto Maldonado, including the boat and hike.
