Transportation
The Wahiba Sands are accessible by 4x4 vehicle. Most camps offer transportation from nearby towns like Al Wasil. You can also rent a 4x4 vehicle and drive yourself, but it's recommended to have experience driving in sand dunes. From Muscat, take Route 21 towards Ibra, then follow signs to Al Wasil. From Al Wasil, you'll need to drive into the desert to reach the camps.
