Transportation

Reaching Jebel Akhdar requires a 4x4 vehicle due to the steep and winding mountain roads. You can rent a 4x4 in Nizwa or Muscat. Alternatively, you can hire a local driver with a 4x4 in Nizwa. There are checkpoints where they check if your vehicle is 4x4. From Nizwa, follow the signs to Jebel Akhdar. The drive takes approximately 1-2 hours.
