Transportation
Getting to Kjeragbolten requires a bit of planning. The most common starting point is Stavanger. From Stavanger, you can take a ferry to Lysebotn, the village at the base of the Kjerag mountain. From Lysebotn, you'll need to take a taxi or bus to the Øygardstølen parking area, which is the starting point for the hike to Kjeragbolten. Alternatively, you can drive to Øygardstølen, but be aware that the road is narrow and winding. During the summer season, there are also organized bus tours from Stavanger that include transportation to and from the trailhead.
