Transportation
Samuil's Fortress is located on a hill overlooking Ohrid. The easiest way to reach it is on foot, although the climb can be steep. From the city center, follow the signs leading uphill towards the Old Town and the fortress. Alternatively, you can take a taxi to the base of the hill and walk the remaining distance. Bus route 1 goes to 'Sveti Naum' and 'LjubaniĊĦta'. You can get off at a stop near the old town and walk up to the fortress.
