Charco Verde, meaning "Green Pond," gets its name from the vibrant color of its lagoon, caused by algae and mineral deposits. According to legend, she lures unsuspecting visitors to their doom with her enchanting beauty. While the stories may be fanciful, they add to the unique charm and mystique of the area.
