Transportation
Payne's Ford Scenic Reserve is best accessed by car. From Takaka, head south on State Highway 60 towards Collingwood. After approximately 10 kilometers, turn left onto Payne's Ford Road. Follow this road for a few kilometers until you reach the reserve entrance. Parking is available at the trailhead.
