A'DAM Lookout: Amsterdam From a New Perspective Guide

A'DAM Lookout is an observation deck located on top of the A'DAM Tower in Amsterdam-Noord. Offering panoramic views of the city, the IJ River, and the surrounding landscape, it's a must-visit attraction for anyone looking to experience Amsterdam from a unique perspective. Beyond the stunning views, A'DAM Lookout also features a thrilling swing that dangles you over the edge of the tower, as well as a revolving restaurant and bar. The A'DAM Tower, formerly known as the Shell Tower, was originally built in the 1960s as the headquarters for Shell Oil. In 2016, the tower was transformed into a multi-functional building housing offices, a hotel, restaurants, bars, and the A'DAM Lookout observation deck. The renovation preserved the building's iconic brutalist architecture while adding modern amenities and attractions. At A'DAM Lookout, visitors can enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of Amsterdam. For the adventurous, the "Over the Edge" swing offers a thrilling experience as you swing back and forth over the edge of the tower. The revolving restaurant, Moon, provides a unique dining experience with stunning views that change as you eat. The rooftop bar is a great place to relax and enjoy a drink while taking in the scenery. While in Amsterdam-Noord, consider trying some Indonesian cuisine, as the area has a diverse culinary scene.
